Sunlight and Headlamp Races

The final citizens race (AKA The Johann Metcalf Memorial Series) was held on Weds. night 2/17/10 at the golf course.  Three person teams competed in a multiple lap format for season ending honors.  The race placed young-buck teams in the first 3 places, followed by the old-f**t teams in the next 3, followed by family teams and then more mixed teams.   ... full results ...
The end of season cumulative results had the Austin clan taking 1st in mens (Joe), womens (Anne), and youth (Louisa).  Don't know why they missed out on the mixed category.

Learn or improve your skiing!
On 1/23/10, 2/6 and 2/20 High Plains Fundraising Clinics will be held.  Lessons will be taught by the high school team members.  A prior attendee that benefited from the clinics also was overheard saying, "...the clinics are good for those of us that don't personally know someone on the team.  Anyone can make a donation.  When you meet the kids and see their talent and enthusiasm first hand it makes the donation even better!"
More details will be forthcoming.....but mark your calendars.
