The yurt is located approximately 1 mile into the the Beaver Creek Ski Area (see map below) and is accessible by skis only. Please see below for guidelines and reservation instructions. Reservation Guidelines: You must be a Lander Nordic Ski Association member to reserve the Yurt. Day use visitors should be cleaned up and out by 4:30 pm on their reserved day (to allow overnighters in). Reservations for overnight use are placed on a first come, first served basis. Folks staying overnight should be cleaned up and out of the yurt by 10:00 am the following morning (to allow day-users in). Yurt users need to access by skis only! Trails are ski trails, please no bikes, walking, snow shoes, or dogs during the winter grooming season. The yurt is not available for day-use reservations Multi-overnight reservation guests must clean up personal items during the day to allow for day-use visitors. See Yurt calendar below for availability. Usually an open date on the calendar indicates availability, but be aware that the date may have filled since the calendar was last updated. For reservation request, please fill out the form below. Stove use Firewood is provided and an axe and splitting maul are located inside. Open sliding damper (bottom of front door) when lighting, slightly close front door until burning well then adjust the damper. Please resupply the split wood inside the yurt for the next user. Access to the ski trails is free, however, please consider making a donation or becoming a member to support winter grooming. Golf Course Ski Etiquette: Ski trails (red below) are ski only. No dogs, snowshoes, walking, etc. on the ski trails. Just skis, please! Dotted Trails are multi-use; fat biking, running, walking, snowshoeing. Please wait until the trails are groomed before using. Skiing early makes the trail more difficult to smooth out and can harm the underlying grass. The trail is laid out to avoid the delicate greens, so please don't stray from the groomed track. Choose the right time of day - warm and soft conditions are more likely to leave ruts which make for tough grooming and poor conditions for others. Do not walk or ski over Nordic classic tracks. Please do not park directly in front of the Club House. Those spots are reserved for club house staff and patrons. Please park in the lower parking area. Dogs are allowed on multi-use trail only. Please pick up your pet waste and dispose of it appropriately. DO NOT LEAVE IT ON THE SIDE OF THE TRAIL TO PICK UP LATER. Trail grooming requires time, specialized equipment, and knowledge. outside of town, the Beaver Creek Nordic Ski Area is a great place to explore if you’re looking for long winding trails through the trees, expansive views, and a little bit of elevation. The trails are located on USFS and BLM land. Enjoy 15 kilometers of groomed trails ranging from green (easy) to black (difficult). Don’t forget to stop by the Yurt for a quick respite from the cold! If conditions are windy in the Beaver Creek parking lot, it is highly advisable to walk under the bridge and get up onto the trail system before making a decision. Typically, on the most windy day it is remarkably more calm once you get into the trees and further out onto the course. Beaver Creek Ski Etiquette: Only ski on trails. Snowshoeing is not allowed. Choose the right time of day - warm and soft conditions are more likely to leave ruts which make for tough grooming and poor conditions for others. Do not walk or ski over Nordic classic tracks. Please park in the parking lot across the hwy from the ski area. Access to the trailhead can be found by following the trail that parallels the hwy and crossing underneath the bridge. Dogs are not allowed at Beaver Creek Nordic Ski Area Trail grooming requires time, specialized equipment, and knowledge. All grooming is done by LNSA, which relies on membership support.
