  • Lander Nordic on Facebook

The Lander Nordic Ski Association began in the mid 1980’s, to develop a
local ski area for skate and classic cross-country skiing. Beginning in 2000,
the association worked with the U.S. Forest Service and the BLM to create the
Beaver Creek Ski Area.

Lander Nordic currently manages a 10-kilometer network of cross-country ski
trails at the Beaver Creek Ski Area, 22 miles south of Lander on Highway 28.
Lander Nordic regularly grooms a skate and classic track at the Beaver Creek
trail system. LNSA also grooms the Lander Golf Course when sufficient snow
exists in town. Each year, volunteers donate hundreds of hours of labor to
maintain and improve the Beaver Creek trails. The association maintains a yurt
at Beaver Creek that can be rented by LNSA members for the day or night for a
modest donation.

Lander Nordic is working with the USFS on a plan to double the size of
Beaver Creek in the next decade. The plan creates a 20-kilometer trail system
that would solidify Beaver Creek’s place among the elite cross-country ski
areas in the state of Wyoming.
