Beaver Creek Yurt
Cleaning
Please pick up trash and sweep the floor.
Leave no extra perishable food at the yurt.
No dogs at the yurt or on the trails…but we do love the little critters.
Toilet
Do not dispose of other garbage in the vault.
Be sure to latch door securely on outside after you’re done. The wind catches it and blows it open and damages the door. Once that door is toast, you’ll be al fresco….
What’s a Yurt?
A Yurt is a portable structure much like those used by nomadic tribes in Mongolia over 2000 years ago. The domed structure sits on wood floor to create an efficient shelter that is environmentally friendly.
Yurting is NOT Glamping. The Beaver Creek Yurt is minimally stocked with a wood burning stove, several camp chairs, and lots of wood. There is no running water, electricity, bunks, or air conditioning. You must bring your own water (although snow is available for boil), Coleman cannisters, bedding (sleeping bags, pillows, sleeping pad), and lighting. We try to keep toilet paper stocked, but it’s recommended to bring your own, as well as fire starting (newspaper, fire starting sticks).
