Beginner Classic Ski Clinic

Join Lander Nordic and Gannett Peak Sports for a Beginner Classic Ski Clinic on Sunday, February 19th from 12-2 PM. No experience necessary! This clinic will explain the basic fundamentals of Nordic skiing and introduce participants to proper skiing technique. Gear rental is included in the cost of the clinic (a discounted option is available if you have your own gear already).

Participants will be grouped based on ability level. Both youth (age 6 and up) and adult classes will be available. Space is limited so sign up early!

Time & Place

12-2 PM at the Lander Golf Course. If you are renting gear please arrive promptly at 12 (or a little earlier) to allow plenty of time to get fitted for boots and skis. Instructors will help you get geared up, do a quick check-in on needs and skill level, as soon as assessments are finished, lessons will begin.

Age Groups

Youth classes will be split by age, based on final enrollment.

Gear Rentals

Gannett Peak Sports will provide equipment for the clinic. During registration, you will provide us your height, weight and shoe size. Your skis, poles, and boots will be picked out ahead of time and be waiting for you at the Golf Course. Please arrive early so GPS staff can make sure your equipment fits correctly.

Pricing

Adult: $45

Youth/kids (11 and under): $30

***A discounted rate of $25/$15 is available if you bring your own equipment.***

Registration

Register for the event by Thursday, February 16th. No same day registrations will be accepted. Once a registration request is received, we will reserve your skis (if required) and your spot in the clinic. You will receive a confirmation email within 48-hours confirming your enrollment with instructions on completing payment.

NOTE: NO PAYMENT WILL BE REQUIRED DURING INITIAL RESERVATION. PAYMENT INSTRUCTIONS WILL BE SENT ONCE ENROLLMENT IS CONFIRMED.

What to Bring

Participants should come to the golf course wearing winter/snow/or ski pants, warm socks (heavy or midweight is great), multiple top layers (a base layer with jacket and additional heavy jacket are usually good), warm gloves, and hat/beanie. A neck/ear warmer is also sometimes helpful, especially if it's really cold out. Standing around in the snow can be cold but people are usually surprised by how much they warm up once they start skiing! Of course, check the forecast for the day and plan to bring extra layers if needed.
