The Old Coaches Race OCR Time trial this year will be Covid-free, free-form, socially distanced, and just plain free.
Time Trial Details
When to race: any times between Dec. 26th and the 31st.
Registration: none really, just post your result.
Entries: Multiple entries per person are encouraged. You could even enter as a relay team..
Route: at Beaver Creek, starting/finishing at the yurt skiing either CW or CCW. Your choice. The Clockwise CW route starts off towards 5 Corners Jct, comes back over BearClaw, then up Pipeline, ski around the Pipedream loop, re-enter Pipeline downhill, go right onto Inner Pipeline and around it, emerge with a right down to Lower Omera, and ski back up to the Yurt Finish. ~5.6 km. Simpler to ski than describe. The Counterclockwise CCW route is the same in reverse, just start by going downhill from the Yurt. Just avoid Tree Loop, BLM, and Eternity loop and you've skied the Time trial loop - Easy!
There will be 2 way traffic on the trails, be alert and responsible.
Timing: Do it yourself, but remember that the world is watching. Also remember that some days and times of day will have better snow conditions than others, so plan on multiple entries.
Categories: as many as needed so that we all make the leaderboards. Challenge somebody, or yourself.
Results: Post your own times on this form. You can use pseudonyms if desired, but only one person can be Normal Norm Cessna, and anybody beating Aaron Robson will be tested for PED's. The results chart of entries and times can be seen here. Last years results are in a separate page at this site.
Prizes: buy yourself something after you've finished - you deserve it.
