Bid on Our Retired Club Yurt
Presented by the Lander Nordic Ski Association
About the Yurt
For over 20 years, this 16-foot canvas yurt has served as a warm and welcoming hub for the Lander Nordic Ski Club community. It has offered shelter, storage, and a gathering space during countless winter seasons.
As we look ahead, we're transitioning to a new yurt that better meets the club’s evolving needs. This upgrade is made possible thanks to generous donations from our community through Challenge for Charities (C4C) and the support of key grant funding from the Lander District Rec Board.
We are now offering our old yurt for sale through a public bidding process. While the yurt has seen many seasons of use, the structural frame and recently added ceiling insulation remain in good condition and represent the bulk of its current value. The wall canvas fabric shows wear and tear but remains fully functional. The roof canvas fabric on the west side (left side when facing the door) has become porous in spots and would benefit from a waterproofing treatment such as a canvas sealant. If desired, a replacement roof skin can also be purchased from the original manufacturer. Proceeds from the sale will support club operations and future infrastructure improvements.
